KAMM Chocolate
Overview
KAMM is an Ecuadorian premium chocolate brand focused on high-quality cacao products and innovative formulations. The brand uses cacao sourced from Ecuador and, among other ingredients, cacao pulp as a natural sweetening source, helping differentiate its products from conventional chocolate made with added sugar. KAMM combines the origin and quality of Ecuadorian cacao with a modern brand and product concept.

The Challange
Beyond the usual demands of a product launch, KAMM’s distinctive formulation introduced additional regulatory complexity. Germany’s Cocoa and Chocolate Products Ordinance (KakaoV), for example, defines the composition requirements for products marketed as chocolate. KAMM’s use of cacao pulp as a sweetening ingredient required a careful review of product classification, labelling and marketing claims. Our challenge was to adapt the offering to German and EU requirements while preserving the characteristics that make the brand distinctive.
Our Role
K&S is leading KAMM’s preparation for entry into the German speaking eCommerce market, turning its existing product portfolio into a market-ready commercial and operational setup. We manage the key workstreams from market assessment to launch preparation, while coordinating closely with KAMM on product and brand decisions.
Our role goes beyond advising: we drive the market-entry process and prepare the foundation for launch across Amazon and D2C, with the aim of transitioning into ongoing operations and growth.
Our Work
We analysed the German Amazon chocolate market to identify relevant competitors, pricing benchmarks and market opportunities for KAMM. A broad product dataset was narrowed into a focused competitive landscape, with particular attention to white, vegan and matcha chocolate.
These insights informed product selection, positioning and launch planning, alongside initial financial scenarios to assess commercial viability and budget requirements. In parallel, we reviewed product descriptions and marketing claims to identify market-specific regulatory considerations and the adaptations required before launch.
Current Status
As of early October, the market analysis has been completed and is being used to define KAMM’s market positioning. The findings also inform decisions around claims, pricing and keyword strategy, using statistical models to identify the options with the strongest probability of success.
Next Phase
The next step is to build a dynamic financial model with multiple scenarios to assess expected expenditures, revenues and liquidity requirements for the launch.
